For the SCIENCE MOONSHOT, as part of the MCBW 2022, we are looking for potentially groundbreaking results from basic or applied research  from German universities. By "groundbreaking" we mean those findings whose implementation and economic application can  be game changers with regard to the great challenges of our time. This includes areas such as climate, energy, the environment, mobility, space technologies, nutrition, resources, agriculture and more. Pure software solutions of any kind, fintech applications and/or research results,  which will not result in physical products or high-tech solutions,, cannot be taken into account.

 

Furthermore, the project has to be submitted by a science team (2-5 people). There must be no ambiguity with regard to the exploitation of IP and rights; written consent from the respective university must be obtained. Apart from that, the team should be willing to found a company.
